    Edwardo S. Rodriguez, Jr., LCSW

Do you often find yourself minimizing or ignoring feelings like anxiety or sadness because they’re too difficult to deal with? Or telling yourself you shouldn’t complain because you have good things in your life? That people have things much worse than you so you should just be grateful for what you have? Do you find yourself checked out? Avoiding people, events, and conversations?

Feeling our emotions can be overwhelming and, without help, can lead us to get stuck in fight, flight, or freeze. To better understand your past and what brought you here, we’ll reflect on the role stress has played in your life. You’ll be equipped with the necessary coping skills to be present and enjoy your life. I’ll empower you to explore a different path by reframing your view of change. Rather than being fearful of change, we can embrace it just as we embrace rainy days for the flowers in Spring.

My approach is rooted in empathy, evidence-based practices, and a genuine belief in each person’s innate resiliency. I believe we all want to connect and be understood so I take into consideration the intersections of your life, your identity, your history, and your perspective. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, advocated for, and represented. Through vulnerability, you’ll become more aware of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors allowing you to move closer towards a more joyous and fulfilling life.
