What is IFS?
IFS is an evidence-based model of psychotherapy. Consider how you talk to others during hard times — Do you ever find yourself saying, “Part of me feels ____, but another part feels ____.”? This tendency is natural and, in part, what makes us human. We are a sum of parts that make each one of us unique. Our inner parts contain valuable qualities, but can become changed or damaged when life throws us trials. Fortunately, our core Self knows how to heal and possesses all the positive qualities we could ever think of. When we learn how to approach parts of ourselves that are hurting, we can allow our core Self to begin the healing.
In sum, IFS helps people heal by accessing and loving their protective and wounded inner parts through the power of their core Self.
