Does it ever feel like you're overwhelmed with anxiety, or feeling like you're not meeting expectations? We all have our own strengths, but for some of us we're not able to identify them or we were raised to believe we didn't have any. I believe each of us has the strength to persevere through life’s challenges, but we need someone to help and believe in us. We'll be a great match in counseling if you feel like everyone else is more important than you, you fit in anywhere but don't belong anywhere, and can't figure out what you like or who you are. We can work together to recognize your strengths and get to know your feelings and thoughts. From there, you will begin to take back your life with more confidence and grace for yourself. My focus is on individual and group therapy for adults and teens suffering from codependency, identity issues, chronic stress, low self-esteem, and relationship conflicts.

Counseling with me feels like sitting down and talking to a friend with the added benefit of doing work to better your life. You'll have my undivided attention as we work together to create a treatment plan that fits your specific needs and goals. Clients find that I'm empathetic, intelligent, genuine, and accepting. In our sessions, We'll utilize a solution-focused model to relieve anxiety, stress, and other distressing symptoms using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In addition, I'll encourage you to look inward as we explore what's causing your distress at a deeper level using modalities like Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Somatic Experiencing. For some clients, the deeper work includes difficulties related to childhood, hidden insecurities, or intrusive thoughts. This exploration also helps us highlight and utilize your strengths so you can confidently handle anything that life throws at you. I can't wait to work alongside you as we improve your life.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Renee White, M.A., LPC-S by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. I offer online therapy for those living in Texas. I have a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas State University and a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas State University. I’m a lifelong learner always striving to know more and better my skills to help you navigate your life. On a personal level, I’m an artist and avid fan of Dungeons and Dragons and all things fantasy. My goals for the future are to become certified for EMDR and therapeutic Dungeons and Dragons to create therapy groups for families and groups.
